POE ExxonMobil 9061
POE ExxonMobil 9061
POE ExxonMobil 9061 is a low‑density elastomer with good compatibility with polyolefins. It is especially suitable as an impact modifier for toughening plastics such as PP and PE.
Main Applications
Polymer Modification: Mainly used for modification and toughening of PP, PE and PA. In the automotive industry, it can be applied to manufacture components including bumpers, fenders, steering wheels and pads.
Wires and Cables: Suitable for insulation layers and sheaths of wires and cables requiring high heat resistance and environmental resistance.
General‑purpose Products: Widely used in industrial articles such as rubber hoses, conveyor belts, rubber fabrics and molded products, as well as medical devices, home appliances, sporting goods and toys.

Processing Methods
ExxonMobil POE 9061 is applicable to multiple processing methods including injection molding and extrusion.
Processing Characteristics: POE generally does not require compounding or vulcanization, and can be processed with conventional thermoplastic processing equipment. Slightly higher molding temperature and pressure are generally recommended, and ultra‑high processing speed is permissible.
Blending Modification: When blended with base resins such as PP and PE for toughening, the dosage of POE shall be properly controlled. With the increase of POE content, the impact strength and elongation at break of the system will improve, while tensile strength, flexural strength and flexural modulus may decrease. The recommended POE loading is generally below 20%.
Auxiliary Agents: Additives such as antioxidants, softeners, fillers and colorants can be incorporated as required. Scraps and waste materials are recyclable for re‑processing; the blending ratio is generally suggested not to exceed 30% to minimize property deterioration of the blended system.
